System Administrator

We are looking for a System Administrator to maintain, upgrade and manage our network and technology infrastructure. For this role you should be able to work closely with the development team to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. The right candidate will ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement, maintain, monitor, and support critical systems
  • Develop and review procedures to maintain security and protect systems
  • Develop and maintain system monitoring and maximize user experience
  • Identify and troubleshoot production issues, whilst providing incident reports
  • Provide technical support on networks, virtualization, and other systems
  • Work closely with internal team for server optimizations and maintenance where needed
  • Keep the environment updated and take a proactive approach with regards to growth, scalability and performance

Qualities:

  • Very experienced with Linux systems such as CentOS
  • Strong Microsoft and Mac administration skills
  • Good documentation practices
  • Strong knowledge of firewalls, network configuration and security
  • Proficient in virtualised and cloud environments
  • Experienced with proxying TCP and HTTP-based applications
  • Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal

Database Administrator

We are looking for a Database Administrator whose responsibility will be to enhance performance, security and maintain our database systems.You willl be involved in the design, optimisation and fine-tuning of database schemas as well as troubleshooting any issues that might arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing MySQL database configurations (installing, testing, upgrading, maintaining)
  • Troubleshoot performance issues while providing recommendations to maximize efficiency
  • Ensuring all systems are updated and up to standard with the latest versions
  • Implement and improve database availability, reliability and disaster recovery procedures
  • Work closely with the development team in the design and optimisation of data structures

Qualities:

  • Excellent knowledge on design and implementation of database architectures
  • Proficient in using Linux, databases and open-source software
  • Good understanding of MySQL administration
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL queries, query optimisation and stored procedures
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal
  • Experience in using ProxySQL is considered an asset

Front-end software developer

We are looking for a front-end software developer who is able to develop, document and maintain software that is required for our in-house projects. The candidate will be involved in the initial stages of design, planning, testing and maintenance. The role will focus primarily on the front-end area of our portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop interfaces for both desktop and mobile
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Optimize software for speed and scalability
  • Contribute with creative ideas for improving workflow

Requirements:

  • 2/3 years of UI development experience using JavaScript, CSS3 and HTML5
  • Experienced with jQuery and UI frameworks
  • Good understanding of AJAX and asynchronous request handling
  • Good understanding of cross-browser compatibility
  • Knowledge of image authoring tools will be considered as an asset
  • Knowledge of PHP will be considered as an asset
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies will be considered as an asset
